The Best Sydney Easter Egg Hunts and Activities

Not sure what to do with the kids this Easter break? Discover the most egg-citing Sydney Easter egg hunts for 2024! This guide unveils the top locations and family-friendly events where you can hop into fun and create unforgettable memories together this Easter.

1. First up is Golden Ridge Animal Farm’s annual Easter egg hunt which is back for another year! This fun family event is running for its 10th year with the egg hunt held in their big barn. The kids will have an absolute ball feeding the animals including the new mini goats, milking the cows and collecting real eggs to take home too. Easter egg hunts will run from the 28th to the 31st of March and tickets always sell out so be sure to get in quick to avoid missing out.

2. Enjoy an awesome Easter like no other at The Grounds in Alexandria. There’s two exciting events to check out. First is the Easter egg scramble hunt at 8:30am on the 30th of March. Tickets are $15 each and Easter egg buckets will be provided to each child on the day so no need to bring your own along. On the 31st of March is their Annual Egg Cracking Easter Extravaganza. You’ll get to see the huge Easter egg and then take home your own slab of chocolate. They’ll be free face painting, an easter bunny, love music and DJ as well as prizes for the best dressed.

3. The Annual Golden Egg hunt is on at Marsden Park Brewhouse. On the 31st of March at 11am they’ll be 2000 delicious Cadbury eggs hidden around their amazing kids playground and a major prize for who finds the golden egg!

4. Enjoy Easter Monday at the Australiana Pioneer Village with the family. They’ll be an egg hunt, Easter craft, train and tractor rides. A family pass is $25 for two adults and two children. You can BYO picnic lunch and there are free BBQ’s available or you can feed the family at the Oxboro Inn or The Damper Camp.

5. There are lots of Easter Markets to check out as well: Cronulla Easter Market is on the 16th and 17th of March, Mosman is holding an Easterfeaster Night Market on Thursday the 21st of March and The Polish Club Ashfield has their European Easter Market on the 24th of March. The Entertainment Quarter has the Ultimate Easter Market on Sunday, March 31st.

6. Head to an Easter Show! There’s more than just the Sydney Royal Easter Show to visit over the long weekend. There’s also the Hills Easter Show at Castle Hill Showground, Fairfield Easter Fair, Sydney Family Show at Moore Park and West Ryde Easter Celebrations at ANZAC Park.

7. Drop by your local shopping centre for some Easter fun. East Village Zetland, Broadway in Glebe, Rouse Hill Town Centre, St Mary’s Town Centre, Grove Square in Baulkham Hills, Marrickville Metro, Campbell Town Mall, Bass Hill Plaza, Mt Druitt Westfield, Parramatta Westfield, Hornsby Westfield, Willowdale, Top Ryde and Berowra Village Shopping Centre all have fun events on this Easter.

8. Hop down to your local RSL or Sports Club this Easter. Bankstown Sports, Concord Bowling Club, Castle Hill RSL, West HQ, Panthers Penrith, Carnavon Golf Club in Lidcombe, Ingleburn RSL and The Greens North Sydney are all great options if you’re looking for something to do with the family over the Easter long weekend in Sydney.

9. Don’t forget to visit your local library over Easter for fun activities that will keep the kids busy. See Waverly Library, Vinegar Hill Memorial Library in Rouse Hill, Stanton Library North Sydney, Dural Library, Castle Hill Library, Baulkham Hills Library Randwick City Library to learn more.

10. Nature time! Ku-ring-Gai Wildflower garden has a number of Easter themed events to check out including an Easter Hunt, Egg-cellent Easter and Free Easter Bilby Trail.

A bonus event is Alice in Eastertime which includes a theatre performance and parade hosted at Centennial Parklands and Parramatta Park.
